A true multi-potentialist, Vuyiswa Mutshekwane has built a successful career in fashion retail, marketing and events. One of the founding directors of the lifestyle companies 'The Other Girls' and 'The WKND Social,' Vuyiswa describes herself as a serial entrepreneur and strategist, and feeds her passion for SMME development through business consulting.

 

Vuyiswa’s extensive experience in the fashion industry includes stints as a clothing boutique owner, trend forecaster and corporate retail buyer. More recently she held the position of sales and marketing manager for African-born international fashion label KISUA.

 

Today Vuyiswa channels her creativity, strategic outlook and entrepreneurial drive into her position as CEO of South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners. She is a fierce champion of equal opportunity and women’s rights and hopes to inspire young women to achieve their potential through her work. Over her 10 year cross-disciplinary career Vuyiswa has been featured in or contributed to many local publications including Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, The Times, VISI, and Destiny Magazine where she was named one of the Top 40 under 40.
